Welcome students and parents to the new school year at KLA. My name is Mrs. Valencia and I will be teaching the science class for 8th grade. Students will develop their inquiry abilities through the amplified digital curriculum. Students will assume the role as problem solvers in science class. Students will be required to take benchmark test a mid-term test and a year-end exam. The grading policy that we are going to follow is analyzing and interpreting data, communicating findings, assessments and CPA. The units that are part of our curriculum are, force and motion, harnessing human energy, magnetic fields, light waves, Earth, Moon and Sun, natural selection and evolutionary history. Classroom expectations. Be respectful and get respect. Be prepared to work. Absent? it is your responsibility to find out about your missing work. Please check the Google Classroom and Amplify to make up your assignments. Supplies. A charged Chromebook and charger. Journal, pencil or pen and your reward card.
